With influences ranging from the iconic Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack, Size Eleven creates a unique sound that resonates with essential emotions and experiences. Recorded, mixed and mastered in the artist's home studio in Los Angeles, this single stands out for its use of electric guitar samples, bass, drums and a distinct "hey" sample, promising a bold and immersive musical experience.
"Day Trip" starts out like a 2000s anthem. We imagine that music video where a teenager wakes up, has breakfast in a hurry, without sitting down, throws his backpack on his back and goes to school on a skateboard. Then, he goes to a skate park to meet his friends. That teen comedy movie represents us, that transports us, with this track at the beginning of this hypothetical movie, connecting strongly to our roots.
"Day Trip" has fast-paced beats, a fast-paced sound, with electrifying guitar riffs, light and disconcerting. The vocals soften us in their singing style, relaxing us. It's a track with a contagious vibe, bringing the atmosphere of 2000s rock mixed with hip hop style with fast rhymes.
