Akira Sky is an intriguing new voice. Her new single, "Block My Number", is raw, melancholic and cinematic. The video was directed by rising star Luiza Botelho, who recently won Best Short Film at the 2025 Pan-African Film Festival. Filmed in Manhattan and Brooklyn, the video features popular Brazilian model and actor Pablo Morais.
"Block My Number" immerses us in folk pop, starting with a catchy guitar melody, string by string, in an acoustic and striking style that easily wins us over. Akira's voice enters, very softly, in a lower and more introspective tone, as if in a conversation.
