Ivy League lança o novo álbum "American Love" sendo o primeiro grande trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado alguns singles que fazem parte do álbum.
“American Love” é um disco que levou dez anos para ser feito. Sem saber exatamente o que estava escrevendo, o artista começou com um conceito que rapidamente o fez voltar ao passado. Trauma e devastação podem se tornar sagrados para as pessoas. Eles podem te agarrar, te deter, te mudar, te moldar, te tirar do seu caminho e te transformar em alguém que seus pais nem reconhecem. Existe uma prática linda no Japão chamada “kintsugi”, é onde você cola cerâmica quebrada com ouro. Em vez de descartar os pedaços quebrados, você os torna mais valiosos e preciosos destacando as falhas e os consertando. Essa é a ideia por trás do disco, com um rock que faz a gente se conectar às nossas raízes.
Para iniciar, tem a primeira faixa que introduz ao álbum, com pouco mais de 1 minuto de som, é uma melodia instrumental etérea que faz a gente transcender em "Enouement". Uma faixa que nos coloca dentro da profundidade do trabalho. Indo para a segunda canção "American Love" nos leva em um indie rock marcante com forte riffs de guitarra e batidas que impactam a gente. O vocal traz um estilo sólido com a música correndo e então chegamos ao refrão onde explode e nos eletriza completamente. O som de baixo aqui é sensacional, combinando perfeitamente com as batidas, um hino indie rock autêntico.
"We Will Win" inicia com um som eletrizante, com riffs de guitarra que incendeiam e nos conquista, completamente cativante, criando um ambiente sombrio com sons de sirene. "Champagne Supernova", um título que nos lembra do hit de Oasis, mas não se trata de um cover. A faixa tem muitas batidas que agitam e faz a gente pular, com guitarra ao estilo anos 90, um vocal suave, é aqui que voltamos às nossas origens, com uma sonoridade suave que faz a gente entrar em um misto nostálgico e que contagia facilmente, fazendo a gente cantar junto.
"It's Time" tem um início mais folk, com uma sonoridade de acordes leves e suaves, com um ambiente diferente nesse álbum, nos levando em versatilidade, nossa mente viaja para uma limpeza, um som incrível para viajar para o campo, sentir a brisa no rosto. De repente, a música explode de forma surpreendente e entra o rock progressivo, com muita energia e arrebatando, incendiando nossas veias.
O novo trabalho é um dos grandes representantes do rock, nos levando em uma jornada atemporal, "American Love" mostra a força e o poder do rock que vai aos anos 90, 2000 e ainda um som fresco que faz a gente pular e cantar junto.

Ivy League releases the new album "American Love" as the first major work released this year. Previously, some singles that are part of the album had been released.
“American Love” is an album that took ten years to make. Without knowing exactly what he was writing, the artist started with a concept that quickly took him back to the past. Trauma and devastation can become sacred to people. They can grab you, stop you, change you, shape you, take you off your path and turn you into someone your parents don't even recognize. There is a beautiful practice in Japan called “kintsugi”, where you glue broken pottery with gold. Instead of discarding the broken pieces, you make them more valuable and precious by highlighting the flaws and fixing them. That is the idea behind the album, with a rock that makes us connect to our roots.
To start, there is the first track that introduces the album, with a little over 1 minute of sound, it is an ethereal instrumental melody that makes us transcend in "Enouement". A track that takes us into the depth of the work. Moving on to the second song "American Love" takes us into a striking indie rock with strong guitar riffs and beats that impact us. The vocals bring a solid style with the music running and then we reach the chorus where it explodes and completely electrifies us. The bass sound here is sensational, combining perfectly with the beats, an authentic indie rock anthem.
"We Will Win" starts with an electrifying sound, with guitar riffs that set us on fire and win us over, completely captivating, creating a dark atmosphere with siren sounds. Soon, agitated guitar riffs come in that harmonize with the bass and the drums are energizing. The vocals come in and we already want to sing along, a track that gives us the strength to continue and move forward, to win.
"Song 4" is the fourth track, with a growing melody. The rock here remains intense and takes us to darker environments, creating a versatile atmosphere with ups and downs in rhythm and making any audience jump as if there were no tomorrow.
"Where You End, and I Begin" has a mysterious beginning, we don't know where the phrases recited with emotional riffs will take us. Then, the song starts to rise and slowly infects us. With a guitar that makes the song grow in its epic introduction with strong beats, we are taken on a track that travels inside our mind and relives the past, perhaps it is where we end everything and then glue our pieces together with gold and then reemerge with even more value, a track that makes us grow and have hope for a new beginning.
"Champagne Supernova", a title that reminds us of the Oasis hit, but it is not a cover. The track has a lot of beats that get us moving and make us jump, with a 90s-style guitar and soft vocals. This is where we return to our roots, with a soft sound that makes us feel nostalgic and easily contagious, making us sing along.
"It's Time" has a more folky beginning, with a sound of light and soft chords, with a different atmosphere on this album, taking us to versatility, our mind travels to a cleansing, an incredible sound to travel to the countryside, feel the breeze on your face. Suddenly, the music explodes in a surprising way and progressive rock enters, with a lot of energy and captivating, setting our veins on fire.
The new work is one of the great representatives of rock, taking us on a timeless journey, "American Love" shows the strength and power of rock that goes back to the 90s, 2000s and still has a fresh sound that makes us jump and sing along.
