A new direction for Mark Vennis & Different Place. Still rooted in their punk rock roots, but with a fuller sound, lots of melody and a lot to say about the state of the nation. With guitars by Mark Vennis and Sean Quinn and bass influenced by reggae by Dave Sweetenham, 'In These Times' builds on and expands on the band's eclectic rock n roll influences.
'In These Times' has a strong and electrifying start with guitar riffs that disconcert us, making it a vibrant anthem right from the start. The beats take on a captivating shape and shake us up inside, creating a classic rock atmosphere.
The vocals bring a strong vibration in their solid voice, which guides us, taking us with expressiveness and an energy that grows. Moving on to the chorus, we sing along with the vocals, in a sound line that is full of orbits with effects that leave our minds blown.
'In These Times' has a groove that wins us over with different riffs and bass sounds that bring something of reggae or SKA, a light and relaxing vibe within punk rock that is completely authentic and full of variations throughout the song that leave us surprised.
