A dupla de Nova York, composta por James Tabbi e Thomas Ferrara, nasceu inicialmente de um amor compartilhado por Brit-pop, New Wave e Post-Punk, seguindo esforços solo e como membros fundadores das bandas Eleven Pond (Tabbi) e Bullseye (Ferrara). The Heroic Enthusiasts release new single 'Wake Me When It's Over', their third release of the year. Previously, they released the singles 'All I Want' and 'You Don't Own Me'. The new album is co-written and produced by legendary producer Stephen Hague (New Order, Peter Gabriel, Erasure)
The New York duo of James Tabbi and Thomas Ferrara were initially born out of a shared love of Brit-pop, New Wave and Post-Punk, following solo efforts and as founding members of the bands Eleven Pond (Tabbi) and Bullseye (Ferrara). The duo's rise over the past two years is as remarkable as it is invigorating, evidence that musicianship, songwriting and studio expertise still matter in today's often jaded music world. Furthermore, their nearly two-year working relationship with Hague has now evolved into one of mutual respect and friendship, and the duo now finds themselves collaborating with the visionary music creator whose sound defines not only the duo's own influences, but the last five decades of pop music.
'Wake Me When It's Over' showcases a musical universe full of nostalgia without losing sight of the futuristic, a sound that encapsulates the listener in a timeship and allows us to visit the 80s and even go to 2050, imagining a futuristic scenario where timeless hits are still playing.
