Richie Harrison releases new single 'The Rope', his fifth work released this year. Previously, he had released the singles 'Oh No!' and 'Best You've Had' this year.
'The Rope' is a spit in the face of the comments about this election in the USA. As the singer says, "I was reading all the manifestos and I couldn't decide who to choose... On social media, everyone says who to choose, but they all lie. The Rope is about not being able to choose a side." This is the true face of the punk movement, a grassroots style that chooses to stand against politics, against power and the system, no matter the side.
'The Rope' starts with fast-paced beats that get us into the rhythm of the song, in the style of the 70s and 80s, with electrifying guitar riffs in the introduction. The vocals come in with an introspective, solid and low style, bringing contrast to the instrumental euphoria that sets our veins on fire in the passages.
'The Rope' is a garage-style rock, a punk that diversifies and makes us go crazy with its relaxed and completely crazy rhythm in the chorus, where the track explodes and then captivates us with a catchy and sing-along chorus.
