This is the second work that announces his new EP 'A Hard Place' coming soon. Written during the lockdown, when he became unhealthy hyper-focused on his musical projects, 'Goodbye Stranger' apologizes to his teenage children for not being available anymore. An emotional narrative that moves through guilt, hope and redemption, set to a richly layered production that recalls Britpop and Bowie-esque glam.
A university neuroscientist by day, Ell Freeman is now changing creative direction to pursue a long-standing passion for music composition and songwriting.
'Goodbye Stranger' has a catchy and understated intro, slowly building to two guitar riffs that electrify us. The fast-paced beats move our bodies, in a sound that takes us back to classic rock.
'Goodbye Stranger' is striking and has a sing-along chorus, it is simply a 70s anthem that resurfaces with a fresh and current sound.
