Canning releases new single 'State of Mind', the first work released this year. Previously, the single 'Collide' was released in 2022.
Canning emerges in the Chicago rock scene, being a band that does not play their songs, but their songs that touch them, something that flows and connects us strongly in an authentic and energetic indie rock. 'State of Mind' is the new work that arrives exactly like this, a lively track that breaks the barriers of genre. 'State of Mind' was written while Ricky was spending time in Rome. The lifestyle brought an uplifting aspect to the track, as the aromas and the music came together sitting on a rock, enjoying everything that was around. The song is about the new and embracing this new that, in the hope, influences the new future in a brighter way and, hopefully, adjusting some old things too.
'State of Mind' wins us over with a 90s-style rock song with funk influences, a groove that takes us to a danceable rhythm that quickly sticks in our minds and electrifies us from beginning to end. With disconcerting guitar riffs, we are carried away by a timeless anthem.
'State of Mind' has strong and striking lyrics, a vocal that takes the track as he wants, with great authenticity and expressiveness, something rock in his voice with falsettos at the end of some verses.
