Genevieve Sovereign releases new single ‘Square Root- 1’, her second release of the year. Previously, she released singles ‘Random Number’ earlier this year and ‘Midday Blue’ last year.
Experimental electronic artist Genevieve Sovereign’s new cosmic-beat spoken word effort, “Square Root -1” brings a new sparkle to her ongoing LP project “STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within”. Building on Sovereign’s previous genre-melting solo and collaborative releases, which have received generous coverage in the blogosphere, social media and radio (both online and with Australian community stations), here she delivers a quirky existential romp through alternate dimensions and metaphysical lyricism, with even more reality-bending adventures.
'Square Root- 1' starts with dry beats that sound like a heartbeat, a sound that seems to be machine gun fire, something like that, a synthesizer, the song starts with effects that already numb our minds and then we are placed in this environment that is striking and engaging.
