MYAH releases new single 'Flames', the seventh album released this year. Previously, the singles 'Hurricane' and 'Notice You' had been released.
'Flames' is a love song about a relationship ending because your partner has an avoidant attachment style, they convinced themselves they weren't worthy of love, and they can't see it any other way. It's a call to stay together, but the dark thoughts are too great.
'Flames' has a very captivating start, with a soft synthesizer and vocals that involve us in the song. The music moves slowly and we don't know where it can go, but we remain connected to the synthesizer with high tones that make us float and levitate over the song.
With a very pleasant arrangement, a synth pop atmosphere with a cinematic aspect, it has backing vocals that create an incredible atmosphere. The song then has a transition that goes to the chorus and suddenly there is the explosion of the song, with beats that enter and sounds that resemble pop-style guitar riffs.
'Flames' is light and deep, a track that talks about love and the problems generated by the fear of being with someone, until it leads to the end. A song that communicates easily with listeners, we all go through this in life.
