10 Billion Lost releases new single 'Gave Up On Me', the second work released this year. Previously, the single 'Killer on the Run' had already been released.
The new single from synthwave duo 10 Billion Lost, 'Gave up on me' is a haunting, brooding, introspective, resilient, dark, dreamy and retro-futuristic track. This song brings an immersive journey, mixing gothic and cyberpunk influences with personal experiences of resilience and self-discovery.
'Gave Up On Me' has a brilliant synthesizer in the intro, with an 80s pop vibe that takes over us and infects us. The beats come in and shake us inside. The very introspective, whispering vocal makes us get into the track and then we float away.
'Gave Up On Me' has a melody that involves us strongly, something dark with pop, and it grows towards a catchy chorus. There is a meeting of dark pop with a gothic style in the chorus, making us sing along.
10 Billion Lost manages to bring a unique atmosphere that brings us an experience that goes deep inside us. We put on headphones, turn up the volume, close our eyes and suddenly we are inside our consciousness trying to seek control of our body and feelings, a striking and deep song.
