Tojo Yamamoto lança novo single cover 'Heroes', o famoso hino de David Bowie agora em uma versão grunge e punk.
Seu EP de estreia recebeu críticas elogiosas enquanto esgotava rapidamente o vinil de edição limitada. Musicalmente, Tojo Yamamoto é conceitualmente uma referência ao wrestling profissional dos anos 70 e 80 no sul, e um estilo punk / new wave que lembra bandas como Killing Joke, Gang of Four e com uma pitada do veneno gutural de Antiseen e Killdozer.
Vindo de Kentucky, a banda é composta por quatro membros com origens diversas em vários trajes punk. O guitarrista Elwood Francis também é o atual baixista daquela Little Band do Texas, ZZ Top. O baterista Darren Howard comandou o kit de Nine Pound Hammer, The Mighty Skullhead e Idiot Box. Will Pieratt é um chef notável e foi baixista de Abusement Park, Pincushion e The Mighty Skullhead. O vocalista Larry Joe Treadway é um videografista/cineasta e foi vocalista do Volkswagon dos sludge punks dos anos 90, Ted Bundy.
O novo cover 'Heroes' vem com uma roupagem diferente, com um rock and roll forte ao estilo clássico, batidas fortes, uma guitarra base e outra que faz solo. O baixo é genial, sentimos a vibração quando entra o vocal cheio de energia, ao estilo gutural trazendo seu próprio estilo para a música.
'Heroes' cantada por Tojo Yamamoto cai muito bem nesse ritmo, fluindo em nosso corpo e fazendo a gente pular e cantar juntos esse hino que sobrevive e perdura em todas as épocas.

Tojo Yamamoto releases new cover of the single 'Heroes', David Bowie's famous anthem now in a grunge and punk version.
Their debut EP received rave reviews while quickly selling out on limited edition vinyl. Musically, Tojo Yamamoto is conceptually a reference to professional wrestling from the 70s and 80s in the south, and a punk/new wave style reminiscent of bands like Killing Joke, Gang of Four and with a hint of the guttural venom of Antiseen and Killdozer.
Hailing from Kentucky, the band is made up of four members with diverse backgrounds in various punk outfits. Guitarist Elwood Francis is also the current bassist for that Texas Little Band, ZZ Top. Drummer Darren Howard has commanded the kit for Nine Pound Hammer, The Mighty Skullhead and Idiot Box. Will Pieratt is a notable chef and was bassist for Abusement Park, Pincushion and The Mighty Skullhead. Vocalist Larry Joe Treadway is a cameraman/filmmaker and was the lead singer of 90s sludge punks Ted Bundy's Volkswagen.
The new cover of 'Heroes' comes in a different guise, with strong classic-style rock and roll, strong beats, a rhythm guitar and another that plays solo. The bass is brilliant, we feel the vibration when the energetic vocal comes in, guttural style bringing his own style to the song.
'Heroes' sung by Tojo Yamamoto fits this rhythm very well, flowing through our bodies and making us jump and sing together this hymn that has survived and endures in all eras.
In this new version, we imagine that we can do everything, a strong feeling of freedom makes us want to hit the road at night and turn up the volume to feel the adrenaline.
