Nihiloceros lança novo EP 'Dark Ice Balloons' com 8 faixas sendo o sexto trabalho lançado nesse ano.
Após ter lançado o álbum 'Self Destroy' que teve um tema pesado, com letras marcantes sobre a futilidade, insignificância de existência e a o caos da pandemia, os trabalhos vêm sendo de muita crítica ao absurdo da condição humana e fim do mundo. Desta vez, nesse novo EP, eles querem deixar as coisas mais leves falando sobre a morte.
Para começar esse EP rock 'Dark Ice Balloons', tem a primeira faixa que começa com tudo 'Penguin Wings', com um indie rock mesclado ao punk rock, algo que lembra Ramones e rock dos anos 90. Os riffs são contagiantes, batidas agitadas, baixo genial e o vocal introspectivo na primeira parte que faz a música crescer no refrão e nos faz cantar juntos. É um hit que nos faz pular e sentir a energia do Rock and roll nostálgico.
A segunda canção 'Killing Ghost' chega com o punk emo rock dos anos 2000 na introdução. Logo entram batidas mais crescentes e riffs suaves como um soft rock, com versatilidade. Depois vai para um rock mais agitado e nos surpreende por esses altos e baixos, um outro hino que emplaca como a segunda faixa que nos faz pular com muita vibração.
'Skipper' é a quinta canção, com riffs de guitarra bem poderosos e constantes, as batidas acompanham nesse som que é a cara dos anos 90. Depois a melodia muda e traz algo mais lento com o vocal fazendo a gente querer cantar junto. É uma mistura de fúria no começo com uma balada rock no refrão.
'Martian Wiscosin' chega com muita força e vibração no instrumental, a faixa com certeza em um show faz a galera pular. Com as pausas nas transições, já podemos imaginar a galera cantando junto. Riffs secos, batidas fortes, a banda participando, um refrão inesquecível que faz a música fluir em nossas veias.
Para finalizar, tem a oitava canção 'Purgatory (Summer Swim)' que tem a leveza da guitarra e as batidas soltas. Facilmente estaria nos filmes de comédia dos anos 2000. Encerra o EP com essa faixa que vicia e gruda rapidamente na cabeça.
O novo EP é a resposta para nossos desejos e pedidos internos, quando pensamos: "Para onde foram as bandas dos anos 90 e 2000?" O EP chega chega para matar essa saudade com muita qualidade, ao nível que podemos sentir influências de Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, Good Charlotte, Sum 41... Um EP de Nihiloceros cheio de hits.

Nihiloceros launches new EP 'Dark Ice Balloons' with 8 tracks, the sixth work released this year.
After releasing the album 'Self Destroy', which had a heavy theme, with striking lyrics about the futility, insignificance of existence and the chaos of the pandemic, the work has been very critical of the absurdity of the human condition and the end of the world. This time, in this new EP, they want to make things lighter by talking about death.
To start this rock EP 'Dark Ice Balloons', there is the first track that starts with everything 'Penguin Wings', with an indie rock mixed with punk rock, something reminiscent of Ramones and rock from the 90s. The riffs are contagious, lively beats , brilliant bass and the introspective vocal in the first part that makes the song grow in the chorus and makes us sing together. It's a hit that makes us jump and feel the energy of nostalgic Rock and roll.
The second song 'Killing Ghost' arrives with 2000s punk emo rock in the intro. Soon, more growing beats and smooth riffs come in like soft rock, with specific characteristics. Then it goes to a more agitated rock and surprises us with these ups and downs, another anthem that stands out as the second track that makes us jump with a lot of vibration.
'Skipper' is a fifth song, with very powerful and constant guitar riffs, the beats accompany this sound that is typical of the 90s. Then the melody changes and brings something slower with the vocals making us want to sing along. It's a mix of fury at the beginning with a rock ballad in the chorus.
'Martian Wiscosin' arrives with a lot of strength and vibration in the instrumental, the track certainly makes the crowd jump at a show. With the pauses in the transitions, we can already imagine a gallery singing along. Dry riffs, strong beats, the band participating, an unforgettable chorus that makes the music flow through our veins.
To finish, there is the eighth song 'Purgatory (Summer Swim)' which has the lightness of the guitar and the loose beats. It would easily be in comedy films from the 2000s. The EP ends with this addictive track that quickly sticks in your head.
The new EP is an answer to our inner desires and requests, when we think: "Where did the bands of the 90s and 2000s go?" The EP arrives to satisfy this longing with great quality, to the level that we can feel influences from Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, Good Charlotte, Sum 41... A Nihiloceros EP full of hits.
