Rooted in Blood é o nome do novo single de trabalho do gênio do metal contemporâneo Joey Rival, uma faixa intensa que nos do leva as raízes do melodic metal e que tem muita entrega e honestidade do compositor.
A música é uma história de turbulência interna, culpa e a conseqüente necessidade de expiação. Refletindo sobre um ciclo de rapidez que consome a vida, movido por emoções avassaladoras como raiva e tristeza. Há referências à violência e à autodestruição – “Pegue a carne e arranque-a dos ossos” – que sugerem uma luta intensa contra a culpa e um desejo de redenção através do sofrimento.
Em grande parte uma metáfora para eliminar a dor emocional. A imagem da escuridão e de estar “apodrecendo com o cheiro de todas as mentiras” indica engano ou traição que afetou profundamente aqueles que os levaram a um caminho de autodestruição e pensamentos vingativos.

Rooted in Blood is the name of the new single from contemporary metal genius Joey Rival, an intense track that takes us back to the roots of melodic metal and has a lot of dedication and honesty from the composer.
The song is a story of inner turmoil, guilt and the resulting need for atonement. Reflecting on a cycle of rapidity that consumes life, driven by overwhelming emotions such as anger and sadness. There are references to violence and self-destruction – “Take the flesh and tear it from the bones” – which suggest an intense struggle with guilt and a desire for redemption through suffering.
Largely a metaphor for eliminating emotional pain. The image of darkness and being “rotting with the smell of all the lies” indicates deception or betrayal that deeply affected those that led them down a path of self-destruction and vengeful thoughts.
A dense narrative, which connects with the listener, combined with a unique instrumental, with a lively and striking guitar that manages to deliver a lot of strength and expression to each arrangement, this song is a strong representative of our own emotions and it moves us.
