Paul Cafcae lança novo single 'Banks of Marble' sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado o álbum 'Live At Annette Studios' em 2022.
O single foi inspirado na crescente desigualdade e na falta de agência democrática para o povo do Canadá e baseia-se em influências folclóricas históricas da Europa Oriental e da América do Norte. Durante a turnê por Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick e norte de Quebec na primavera de 2023, Paul percebeu as mesmas tendências nessas províncias e decidiu começar a introduzir essa música em seus shows, embora estivesse apenas parcialmente escrita na época.
O estilo musical também é uma união dos primeiros motivos do sul e do norte da América com uma dinâmica construída ao longo da música, aludindo a uma panela fervendo ou a um fogo acendendo a partir de uma única faísca, ambos símbolos universais do movimento revolucionário.
'Banks of Marble' chega com muita força e poder, em um estilo cinemático que lembra a era do spaghetti e blues, com algo mais faroeste e que faz nossa mente imergir nesse tema que é a crescente desigualdade no mercado de trabalho, o que para nós brasileiros, isso é uma surpresa, já que nossos objetivos de carreira sempre é ir para países como Canadá ou países europeus, onde acreditamos ter melhores condições de trabalho.
'Banks of Marble' tem um vocal cativante, que nos conquista com sua autenticidade e uma arte que é como se estivesse contando histórias. A melodia é dançante, clássica, algo atemporal e que incendeia a gente por dentro, nos levando aos anos 50 e 60.
'Banks of Marble' tem um estilo detalhista e minimalista no começo, aos poucos vai crescendo e faz a gente querer cantar junto no refrão. Com um clima agradável com batidas que tem uma harmonia perfeita com o baixo e guitarra, somos eletrizados e sentimos vida e autenticidade do início ao fim.

Paul Cafcae releases new single 'Banks of Marble', the first work released this year. Previously, the album 'Live At Annette Studios' had been released in 2022.
The single was inspired by the growing inequality and lack of democratic agency for the people of Canada and draws on historical folk influences from Eastern Europe and North America. While touring Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and northern Quebec in the spring of 2023, Paul noticed the same trends in those provinces and decided to start introducing this song into his shows, even though it was only partially written at the time.
The musical style is also a union of early southern and northern American motifs with a dynamic built throughout the song, alluding to a boiling pot or a fire igniting from a single spark, both universal symbols of the revolutionary movement.
'Banks of Marble' arrives with a lot of strength and power, in a cinematic style that recalls the era of spaghetti and blues, with something more western and that makes our mind immerse in this theme that is the growing inequality in the job market, which for As Brazilians, this is a surprise, since our career goals are always to go to countries like Canada or European countries, where we believe we have better working conditions.
'Banks of Marble' has a captivating vocal, which wins us over with its authenticity and an artistry that is as if it were telling stories. The melody is danceable, classic, something timeless and sets us on fire inside, taking us back to the 50s and 60s.
'Banks of Marble' has a detailed and minimalist style at the beginning, little by little it grows and makes us want to sing along to the chorus. With a pleasant atmosphere and beats that have a perfect harmony with the bass and guitar, we are electrified and feel life and authenticity from start to finish.
