Kings County lança single cover "Blue Monday" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "Wish" e "So Cold" no ano passado.
O trabalho é um cover do clássico dos anos 80 de New Order. Enquanto que aquela faixa traz algo eltro pop com disco da época, a versão cover chega com um hard rock estrondoso na guitarra e batidas fortes.
Kings County transformou em uma entidade viva e vibrante, com guitarras pesadas, bateria real, vocais agressivos e modernos, ao mesmo tempo que incorpora alguns dos sons de teclado característicos do New Order. Kings County é Rob Dexter (vocal, baixo), Steve Bell (guitarra, vocal), Joe Lopez (bateria) e Bill Kania (guitarra, vocal). Dexter diz: “Grandes músicas resistem ao teste do tempo e o hit de 1983 do New Order, “Blue Monday” não é exceção. Ao longo dos anos, percebemos que muitas das bandas new wave dos anos 80, como The Cure, Depeche Mode e New Order, se converteram bem ao hard rock. Por alguma razão você poderia pegar uma de suas músicas, pesar as guitarras e tudo ficaria perfeito, como deveria ser.”
"Blue Monday" chega nessa versão cover em uma mescla de hard rock com New Wave, com sons fortes de guitarra e o sintetizador também presente, as batidas agitadas e dançantes e um vocal mais sombrio, criando uma atmosfera e estilo único para esse hit.
"Blue Monday" nessa versão cover é genial, é incrível poder ouvir como soa algo mais pop dentro do hard rock, é uma faixa que resistiu ao tempo e então pegar e colocar em um rock and roll pode ser uma ideia perigosa, porém nessa versão eles trazem toda a energia de Kings County e entregam uma releitura que nos tira do chão.

Kings County releases cover of the single "Blue Monday" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles "Wish" and "So Cold" had already been released last year.
The work is a cover of the 80s classic by New Order. While that track brings something pop with disco from the time, the cover version arrives with a thunderous hard rock on the guitar and strong beats.
Kings County has transformed into a living, breathing entity, with heavy guitars, real drums, aggressive and modern vocals, whilst incorporating some of New Order's signature keyboard sounds. Kings County is Rob Dexter (vocals, bass), Steve Bell (guitar, vocals), Joe Lopez (drums) and Bill Kania (guitar, vocals). Dexter says: “Great songs stand the test of time and New Order’s 1983 hit “Blue Monday” is no exception. Over the years, we've noticed that many of the new wave bands of the 80s, like The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order, have converted well to hard rock. For some reason you could take one of their songs, weigh down the guitars and everything would be perfect, as it should be.”
"Blue Monday" arrives in this cover in a mix of hard rock and New Wave, with strong guitar sounds and the synthesizer also present, such as agitated and dancing beats and a darker vocal version, creating a unique atmosphere and style for this hit.
"Blue Monday" in this cover is brilliant, it's incredible to be able to hear how something more pop sounds within hard rock, it's a track that has stood the test of time and so taking it and putting it in rock and roll can be a dangerous idea, but in this version they they bring all the energy of Kings County and deliver a reinterpretation that takes us off our feet.
