THE SWEET DARKNESS lança o novo single "She Says" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles "I Wish I Love You" e "You Love The Fire".
The Sweet Darkness é um projeto solo de Gordon Gilette, que se mudou de Berlim para uma cidade da zona rural na Alemanha, onde com a paz, tranquilidade consegue ter um espaço muito gostoso para criação de novas canções. Fazendo uma completa mescla de gêneros, o artista não fica preso a um estilo, explorando e ultrapassando as barreiras, com algo acústico folk e guitarra eletrica eteral e ainda beats agitados.
O novo trabalho nesse pop europeu "She Says" é surpreendente, com um som transcendental logo no início, somos levados nesse sintetizador que é eletrizante, com um vocal remixado que é alucinante soando como estivéssemos sendo abduzidos. O pop atemporal combina com um vocal ao estilo new wave que contagia parecendo ser algo que vem dos anos 80 com uma sonoridade futurista. Para quem conhece o álbum "Zooropa" do U2 dos anos 90 tem essa pegada, algo experimental e autêntico.
Com uma letra forte e marcante, o tema da faixa é aquela típica história: gostamos de alguém mas essa pessoa diz que podemos ser somente amigos. Aceitamos. Mas ao longo do tempo sempre temos a esperança que isso possa mudar de repente. Ficamos então nessa desconfortável zona da amizade.
"She Says" tem nas transições sons de remix de disco como se tivesse sendo remixada naquele trecho. Em uma faixa que nos faz viajar no tempo, somos cativados pelo estilo sólido do vocal e a euforia instrumental no sintetizador criando um ambiente que flutuamos e é completamente contagiante, sendo uma delícia poder usar essa tapeçaria melódica ao fundo para ter um momento de soundscape.

The Sweet Darkness is a solo project by Gordon Gilette, who moved from Berlin to a rural town in Germany, where with peace and tranquility he has a very pleasant space to create new songs. Making a complete mix of genres, the artist is not tied to one style, exploring and pushing boundaries, with something acoustic folk and ethereal electric guitar and even upbeat beats.
The new work on this European pop "She Says" is surprising, with a transcendental sound right from the beginning, we are taken with this synthesizer that is electrifying, with a remixed vocal that is mind-blowing, sounding like we are being abducted. The timeless pop combines with a new wave-style vocal that is infectious, seeming to be something that comes from the 80s with a futuristic sound. For those who know U2's album "Zooropa" from the 90s, it has this feel, something experimental and authentic.
With strong and striking lyrics, the theme of the track is that typical story: we like someone but that person says we can just be friends. We accept. But over time we always hope that this can suddenly change. We then ended up in this uncomfortable friendship zone.
