James Spencer releases new single "If" being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles "Your Ship's Coming In" and "Black Dog" had already been released.
Over the past year, James Spencer has been promoting his latest album 'Lucky Man'. Between touring Europe performing a solo show supporting his friends 'JollyRoger', playing festivals with his band 'The Wreckers' and playing tirelessly with his duo 'Bicycle Repair Man', James has released a number of releases and videos.
"If" is a love song written about the awkward part of romantic dating, 'If' explores the 'you will, I will' nature of falling in love with someone for the first time. It's a sensitive subject, and as such, Spencer has chosen to reflect the message with a much softer sound than some of his previous releases. The track is a duet with Abbe Martin of ‘Sound Of The Sirens’, an all-female folk duo from Exeter.
James Spencer's new work brings you this wonderful duet in partnership with Abbe, a song that will make you feel love as if it were the first time. In a cloudy and cooler climate, "If" is that song that warms our consoles.
