MADELINE RHODES releases new single "Bailing on Your Birthday" being the first work released by the artist. A single like this, a catchy pop song, is a turning point in this brilliant debut that Madeline has already won over us.
Madeline Rhodes is a pop singer and songwriter from New York's Upper West Side. She was raised by a single mother and five older sisters in a house her family jokingly calls “The Brothel.” Growing up in a home rife with mental illness and addiction, Madeline found solace in songwriting, using music as a form of therapy and self-expression. After attending NYU for performing arts and performing on Broadway, television, and in film, Madeline decided it was finally time to share her own stories with the world. She began releasing music under the stage name "MuMu", focusing on the female experience and using her music as a platform for her activism. In 2018, MuMu debuted with the powerful single “Free the Nip”, a feminist anthem that addresses the censorship of the female body.
Since then, MuMu has been featured in The New York Times, Variety, IndieWire and The Hollywood Reporter. The new work is the first song under her given name Madeline, "Bailing on Your Birthday" begins with engaging beats in danceable pop, with an electrifying synthesizer, a groove that is pleasant to listen to. The song grows, Madeline's voice, still very soft and introspective at the beginning, makes the track grow as it loosens up and then the synthesizer makes the transitions that the song grows together.
His lower, introspective voice is captivating, keeping us connected on this incredible track.
