The Project lança o novo single 'Whats It Going To Take' sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles 'Over You' e 'Best Days', que para os amantes de rock and roll anos 80 são hinos que valem muito a pena ouvir.
O novo trabalho é feito em parceria com Mykele Hill. Ela começou a escrever canções quando tinha 17 anos como uma válvula de escape para suas emoções durante o momento mais sombrio de sua vida. Sua música reflete um otimismo pela experiência humana e ela espera que suas canções possam ser um vínculo catártico compartilhado entre ela e o ouvinte. Depois de aprender a gravar em seu GarageBand, Mykele agora está lançando músicas em 2024. Se Mykele tem algo de Taylor Swift em suas influências, me atrevo a dizer que James Davis nos lembra Jon Bon Jovi em sua grande fase, com um vocal poderoso em uma balada romântica hard rock. The Project releases the new single 'Whats It Going To Take', being the first work released this year. Previously, the singles 'Over You' and 'Best Days' had been released, which for lovers of 80s rock and roll are anthems worth listening to.
The new work is done in partnership with Mykele Hill. She began writing songs when she was 17 as an outlet for her emotions during the darkest time of her life. Her music reflects an optimism for the human experience and she hopes her songs can be a cathartic bond shared between her and the listener. After learning how to record on her GarageBand, Mykele is now releasing music in 2024. You'll definitely hear some Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert in her music as they were very influential in her young life, but she also has influences ingrained in her music from the 1960s to the present. Being a fan of Mykele’s music, James Davis asked her to sing “What’s It Gonna Take”, the next single from The Project. Mykele says: “It was a great experience for me because The Project is a little heavier than anything I've sung before, but the mix of the two styles really worked well together.”
The new work shows the duo's harmony in this unprecedented partnership, where they sing together and complement each other's vocal talent. "Whats It Going To Take" is that anthem that we miss, that is no longer released. Do you know when Aerosmith and Bon Jovi enchanted us in the 90s and a little in the 2000s? The project and Mykele bring us this same nostalgic line with this anthem, which goes well in any environment. I can already imagine traveling, on the road, at nightfall and the radio playing loud and singing along to the chorus, it's contagious.
'Whats It Going Take' is a timeless single, surviving any era, an alt country, 80s rock, with an energy that makes us vibrate, striking guitar, strong and impactful beats, a powerful chorus, a love song, a duet to warm our hearts. Simply a great classic that is enjoyable to listen to, we fly away over the guitar progression, in that special atmosphere that is established in the song. If Mykele has something of Taylor Swift in his influences, I dare say that James Davis reminds us of Jon Bon Jovi in his great phase, with a powerful vocal in a hard rock romantic ballad. The guitar solo is phenomenal, it takes us away in the transitions.
