Mortal Prophets lança o novo álbum "Guitarworks" sendo o último trabalho lançado em 2023. GUITARWORKS apresenta um decálogo de paisagens sonoras moldadas pelas mãos de John Beckmann (Mortal Prophets), um artista consumado cujo amor pelo visual transparece em cada nota e textura. Assim como as trilhas ambientais de Aarktica (Jon DeRosa), Beckmann transforma os espaços entre nós em canções de conectividade vibrante. O que diferencia estas viagens é a sua circularidade: destinos e pontos de partida são um e o mesmo.
O trabalho instrumental leva a gente em uma viagem que é sensacional. Com um som que faz nossa mente refletir sobre a vida, o mundo, somos eletrizados em suas composições profundas e que provavelmente com o poder de sua sonoridade, vai ter um significado diferente para cada ouvinte.
A primeira canção 'Ascension' é algo transcendental, uma energia profunda pelos om folktronico, algo que parece ser cordas eletrônicas de violão, de repente estamos indo em uma auto descoberta, rumo ao nosso interior. A canção poderia estar em filmes de drama em cenas que estão mostrando algo revelado, uma trilha cinemática com toda a certeza, com a presença de um sintetizador místico.
'Topanga Canyon' é a segunda faixa, com uma introdução que parecem ser riffs de guitarra, são desconcertantes e nos faz vibrar por dentro. Com um toque se assemelha a ondas que vão e vem, em distorção dos riffs, é uma verdadeira trilha sonora para aquela viagem nos montes, para ter aquela tranquilidade e suavidade, deixar o clima leve e especial.
'Constellations' é a quarta canção. Novamente vem aquele clima de interior, cidade grande é quase impossível ver o céu tão lindo e estrelado. No interior, olhar para um céu limpo e então aquela magia cósmica no alto, com rastros brilhantes, estrelas com uma quantidade como se fosse da areia do mar, uma coisa tão linda, que com essa canção, basta fecharmos os olhos e sentir isso, viver esse cenário, viajar na mente e ir para o espaço, em uma luz que ilumina as noites.
'Martian Daydreams' é a sexta canção, com um som que nos deixa hipnotizados, um arranjo com sintetizador que é único, toques como se fossem cordas tocando, é um sonho que nos leva a deevaneios. É aquele estado de sono antes de dormir de fato, que nos leva a alucinações, muitas delas boas. Uma faixa como essa soa como terapia, um soundscape do caos diário.
A oitava canção 'Aurora' é serena, como um folktronico, tem um toque de violão, cordas que ficam tocando sobre um arranjo que vaga pelo ar, é uma maravilha, como se o Sol estivesse nascendo no céu, é como se estivéssemos acordados para ver esse momento. Logo entra um trecho mais folk que é contagiante.
Para finalizar, tem a última faixa 'Numinous' que encerra o álbum em um início misterioso, a canção vai crescendo com seu arranjo e tomando conta do espaço. Entram então riffs, pausadas e suaves, criando uma sonoridade etérea, algo que como se fosse uma escalada evolutiva do nosso ser, das nossas qualidades, uma melhora do que temos por dentro, mexe com a gente por dentro.
O álbum é genial, ambíguo, aberto para qualquer um que ame música instruemental, que com toda a certeza a sonoridade aqui nos faz abrir novos horizontes e então soa como um momento de meditação e terapia para a gente, com um soundscape que mescla com folktronico e LoFi.

Mortal Prophets releases the new album "Guitarworks", the last work being released in 2023. GUITARWORKS presents a decalogue of soundscapes shaped by the hands of John Beckmann (Mortal Prophets), a consummate artist whose love for the visual shines through in every note and texture. Like the ambient tracks of Aarktica (Jon DeRosa), Beckmann transforms the spaces between us into songs of vibrant connectivity. What differentiates these trips is their circularity: destinations and starting points are one and the same.
The instrumental work takes us on a journey that is sensational. With a sound that makes our mind reflect on life, the world, we are electrified by its deep compositions and probably, with the power of its sound, will have a different meaning for each listener.
The first song 'Ascension' is something transcendental, a deep energy through folktronico, something that seems to be electronic guitar strings, suddenly we are going on a self-discovery, towards our interior. The song could be in drama films in scenes that are showing something revealed, a cinematic track for sure, with the presence of a mystical synthesizer.
'Topanga Canyon' is the second track, with an introduction that seems to be guitar riffs, they are disconcerting and make us vibrate inside. With a touch it resembles waves that come and go, with distortion of the riffs, it is a true soundtrack for that trip in the mountains, to have that tranquility and softness, to leave the atmosphere light and special.
'Constellations' is the fourth song. Once again there's that country atmosphere, a big city, it's almost impossible to see the sky so beautiful and starry. Inside, looking at a clear sky and then that cosmic magic at the top, with bright trails, stars with an amount as if it were sea sand, something so beautiful, that with this song, we just need to close our eyes and feel it, live this scenario, travel in the mind and go to space, in a light that illuminates the nights.
'Martian Daydreams' is the sixth song, with a sound that leaves us mesmerized, an arrangement with a synthesizer that is unique, touches as if they were playing strings, it is a dream that takes us into daydreams. It's that state of sleep before actually sleeping, which leads us to hallucinations, many of them good. A track like this sounds like therapy, a soundscape from the daily chaos.
The eighth song 'Aurora' is serene, like a folktronico, it has a touch of guitar, strings that keep playing over an arrangement that wanders through the air, it's a wonder, as if the Sun were rising in the sky, it's as if we were awake to see this moment. Soon a more folky part comes in, which is infectious.
Finally, there is the last track 'Numinous' which ends the album in a mysterious beginning, the song grows with its arrangement and takes over the space. Then riffs enter, slow and soft, creating an ethereal sound, something that, as if it were an evolutionary escalation of our being, of our qualities, an improvement of what we have inside, moves us inside.
The album is brilliant, ambiguous, open to anyone who loves instrumental music, and the sound here certainly makes us open up new horizons and therefore sounds like a moment of meditation and therapy for us, with a soundscape that mixes with folktronico and LoFi.
