JFT lança novo single 'A Hellenistic Romance' sendo o segundo trabalho lançado em 2023. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles 'To Be Back Here Again' e 'Going Boozing'.

JFT passava a juventude tocando guitarra sozinho em seu quarto, depois passou a compor algumas canções, passando a querer lançar para seguir os passos de seus ídolos de Manchester sendo eles Oasis, The Stone Roses e The Smiths.

Com o lirismo cativante e tons de guitarra vintage, marca registrada de JFT, desta vez ele envolveu algumas paisagens sonoras mais experimentais neste clássico instantâneo semi-psicodélico. Muitas vezes proporcionando um terreno fértil para composições, o amor verdadeiro e profundo serve de contexto para ‘A Helenistic Romance’. A faixa é cheia de energia e embora não seja uma “canção de amor” tradicional, muitos dos sentimentos que o amor verdadeiro proporciona são capturados, e o lembrete da necessidade de lutar pelo amor e por tudo o que ele proporciona.

'A Hellenistic Romance' chega com aquele toque e melodia leve que nos faz viajar aos anos 80 e 90, em mescla do pop e o rock and roll. As batidas são agitadas e suaves, os riffs de guitarra são contagiantes, com aquele som de violão ao fundo e o vocal em dueto, um sólido e outro cantando mais agudo ao fundo. Os ouvintes são levados pelo ambiente psicodélico, nessa sintonia entre as vozes e instrumental. Nostálgica, é marcante em sua letra, uma canção de amor que nos faz pensar naquela pessoa que nos passa força e poder, aquela pessoa que fazemos de tudo para provar o amor. 

'A Hellenistic Romance' tem já um nome clássico, que nos remete ao período grego helenístico, soa como uma obra atemporal, com todos os elementos vintage e uma letra que gruda o refrão rapidamente em nossa mente, nos fazendo cantar juntos 'To be Free...', nascendo um grande hino para os amantes de indie rock.

JFT releases new single 'A Hellenistic Romance', the second work released in 2023. Previously, the singles 'To Be Back Here Again' and 'Going Boozing' had been released.

JFT spent his youth playing guitar alone in his room, then started composing some songs, wanting to release them to follow in the footsteps of his Manchester idols, including Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Smiths.

With JFT's trademark catchy lyricism and vintage guitar tones, this time he's wrapped some more experimental soundscapes into this semi-psychedelic instant classic. Often providing fertile ground for songwriting, true and deep love serves as the context for ‘A Hellenistic Romance’. The track is full of energy and although it is not a traditional “love song”, many of the feelings that true love provides are captured, and the reminder of the need to fight for love and all that it provides.

'A Hellenistic Romance' arrives with that touch and light melody that takes us back to the 80s and 90s, in a mix of pop and rock and roll. The beats are upbeat and smooth, the guitar riffs are infectious, with that acoustic guitar sound in the background and the vocal in a duet, one solid and the other singing higher in the background. Listeners are taken by the psychedelic environment, in this harmony between the voices and instrumental. Nostalgic, it's striking in its lyrics, a love song that makes us think of that person who gives us strength and power, that person we'll do everything to prove our love.

'A Hellenistic Romance' already has a classic name, which takes us back to the Hellenistic Greek period, it sounds like a timeless work, with all the vintage elements and lyrics that quickly stick the chorus in our minds, making us sing together 'To be Free ...', creating a great anthem for indie rock lovers.
