Benjamin Race releases new single "Memories" in partnership with Donna Odain. Previously, the single "Take You Home" had already been released last year. Maybe you have memories of the 1980s. You remember the sound of the decade, the brightness, the warmth, the sophistication, the soul. You remember the harmonic subtlety of the composition and the passion of the performances. You remember the silky textures of electronic percussion, the soft-focus synths, the smoky saxophone solos. You know the hits by heart - pop sweet enough for kids but smart enough for adults. But even if you're too young to have been there, you can bet you know what it was about. That's because the sound of the 80s never disappeared. "Memories" begins with the magical synthesizer sound, which takes us to the 80s with the engaging and light beats, it's as if we were in that experience sliding over the years in a "Moonwalk" style.
