Backstrom lança novo single 'Animal' sendo o quarto e último lançamento de 2023. Antes, havia sido lançado os singles 'The Journey (Remastered)' e 'It's Too Late'. 'Animal' é o single de estreia do álbum de estreia "The Carousel" em 18/1.
O novo single 'Animal', feito em parceria com Bart Topher, tem um toque melódico clássico, cheio de mistério no ar causado pelo violoncelo, um instrumento que consegue cativar os ouvintes na temática dessa canção, que é expôr toda o lado sombrio do humano, que tem uma máscara, somos animais por dentro. 'Animal' traz em si um folk rock, com mistura pop, escandinavo, uma arte bela, que nos faz viajar viajar no tempo, com um aspecto rústico, vintage, voltamos para o pior período do ser humano, a Idade Média, nos sentimos como camponeses perseguidos pela sociedade opressora que detinha o poder concentrado em monarquia, clero e grandes proprietrários de terras da época, sendo os verdadeiros animais de seu tempo, uma imaginação tão fértil como essa não seria possível sem a produção maravilhosa de qualidade de Backstrom em 'Animal' que nos enche de pavor e medo do animal que pode estar dentro da gente.
