Palumbo lança novo álbum "Tales From The Big Smoke" sendo o primeiro trabalho lançado nesse ano.
Antes, havia sido lançado o single "Winners Grinners" que faz parte do novo álbum e o álbum "All The Rage We Are" em 2019.
Com uma linha que traz algo dos anos 60 aos anos 90, Palumbo é genial ao nos fazer voltar para a época de ouro da música, com canções eletrizantes e que nos contagia totalmente. O novo álbum chega com 11 canções para esquentar o coração dos amantes do rock clássico e o pop.
Para iniciar, tem a primeira canção "Winners Grinners", uma canção que tem a introdução com a banda cantando, backing vocal a capela, para contagiar e nos fazendo cantar juntos. Começam pelo refrão, com tudo. Logo, entram as batidas agitando com alguns riffs de guitarra bem leves, um som que nos traz uma leveza gostosa. O refrão tem uma melodia que gruda facilmente e una letra que se repete, logo já estamos cantando juntos.
A segunda canção "Sweetie Song" tem uma pegada bem British pop rock, com mistura de indie rock dos anos 90, é uma genialidade com riffs marcantes, batidas que dão algo sólido e um vocal que nos eletriza durante a canção. Ainda tem um solo de guitarra que é bem vibrante, é uma volta ao passado ao melhor estilo.
"Super Lizard" tem uma pegada mais lenta, uma balada romântica mais melancólica em sua melodia, com batidas crescentes e riffs que nos faz entrar e flutuar dentro da canção. O vocal com um estilo arranhado, rouco, traz sua brilhante e marcante voz. É uma história que nos leva a sentimentos mais profundos, em um som que nos arrepia e contagia completamente, uma grande surpresa.
A sétima canção "When You're Dead" tem uma energia do rock clássico com algo country americano, Palumbo aqui nos faz pular e agitar durante a introdução. Logo, entra o vocal, o instrumental fica mais suave, o vocal nos leva e guia em riffs sólidos, indo para um refrão que é cheio de energia e mágico, cheio de expressividade e com muita euforia. Os toques de teclados são um tanto psicodélicos para o arranjo, uma faixa que mexe com os ouvintes se tratando da morte e toda essa cosmovisão, ao som do rock clássico genial de Palumbo.
A décima canção "Ezy Now" tem um toque de violão que nos envolve e riffs marcantes de guitarra. Logo, entram batidas cativantes, uma canção estável no início em sua parte instrumental, o vocal a leva para onde quiser. No refrão, tem algo que soa como um novo hit ao nível "Californication", facilmente já estamos querendo cantar juntos e soltar a voz. A guitarra nos incendeia por dentro e a música flui facilmente, é com certeza uma das grandes faixas do álbum, que traz uma sensação de liberdade indescritível.
Para finalizar, tem a última canção "Where I'm At", sem muito spoiler, é uma faixa que chega com tudo e termina o trabalho de Palumbo "Tales From The Big Smoke", que tem canções incríveis, novos hinos ao estilo a era de ouro, agora canções com novas histórias, com a melodia clássica e um contexto mais contemporâneo. O álbum é para os amantes de rock and roll clássico e com certeza conquista os fãs de Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, algo que flui em nossas veias.

Palumbo launches new album "Tales From The Big Smoke" being the first work released this year. Before, the single "Winners Grinners" that is part of the new album and the album "All The Rage We Are" in 2019 had been released. With a line that brings something from the 60s to the 90s, Palumbo is genius in making us go back to the golden age of music, with electrifying songs that are totally contagious. The new album comes with 11 songs to warm the hearts of lovers of classic rock and pop. To start, there is the first song "Winners Grinners", a song that has the introduction with the band singing, backing vocals a cappella, to infect and make us sing together. They start with the chorus, with everything. Soon, the beats start shaking with some very light guitar riffs, a sound that brings us a delicious lightness. The chorus has a melody that sticks easily and lyrics that are repeated, so we're already singing together. The second song "Sweetie Song" has a very British pop rock feel, with a mixture of indie rock from the 90s, it is a genius with striking riffs, beats that give something solid and a vocal that electrifies us during the song. It even has a guitar solo that is very vibrant, it's a throwback to the past in the best style. "Super Lizard" has a slower feel, a romantic ballad more melancholy in its melody, with soaring beats and riffs that make us enter and float within the song. The vocal with a scratchy, raspy style, brings out her bright and distinctive voice. It's a story that takes us to deeper feelings, in a sound that makes us shiver and completely contagious, a great surprise.
The seventh song "When You're Dead" has a classic rock energy with something American country, Palumbo here has us jumping and shaking during the intro. Soon, the vocals enter, the instrumental gets softer, the vocals lead and guide us through solid riffs, going into a chorus that is full of energy and magic, full of expressiveness and with a lot of euphoria. The keyboard touches are somewhat psychedelic for the arrangement, a track that moves listeners dealing with death and all that cosmovision, to the sound of Palumbo's genius classic rock. The tenth song "Ezy Now" has an enveloping guitar touch and striking guitar riffs. Soon, catchy beats enter, a steady song at the beginning in its instrumental part, the vocal takes it where it wants. In the chorus, there is something that sounds like a new hit at the level of "Californication", easily we are already wanting to sing together and release the voice. The guitar sets us on fire from within and the music flows easily, it is certainly one of the great tracks on the album, which brings an indescribable sense of freedom. Finally, there is the last song "Where I'm At", without much spoiler, it is a track that arrives with everything and ends the work of Palumbo "Tales From The Big Smoke", which has incredible songs, new hymns to the style of era of gold, now songs with new stories, with the classic melody and a more contemporary context. The album is for lovers of classic rock and roll and certainly conquers fans of Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, something that flows in our veins.
